Plutarch of Chaeronea, Sextus, Agathabolus, and Oenomaus are considered notable philosophers.

This is an excerpt from the Chronicles of Jerome, a chronological history text from antiquity. It’s amazing that we know so little about Agathabolus and Oenomaus considering they are the preeminent philosophers of their time. It’s like us losing all of Foucault and preserving half of Derrida (when comparing to the preservation of Plutarch).
