Diogenes of Sinope | Cicero, De Natura Deorum iii.34

It was, indeed, a common saying of Diogenes the Cynic that Harpalus, who had the reputation in that age of being a successful robber, was a standing witness against the gods, because he lived for so long in that state of good fortune.
