XAIPE!
I spent a good part of my day trying to figure out how to use Joomla. It seemed terribly pointless. I've decided that your choice of CMS matters less than the time put into understanding how it works. Between work and this website, I've put a good deal of effort into making Dokuwiki work (the program running this blog). Dokuwiki may not be as slick as Joomla, but it is a great deal easier to get your head around.
I recommend using Dokuwiki for all of your CMS needs. Wordpress is a close second.
